Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services and working closely with the Registrar & Executive Director and other members of the management team, the Human Resources Manager will lead the College in all aspects of the human resources function, including recruitment, selection and orientation; HR operations, administration & compliance; employee engagement; and performance management & compensation.

This is a new position and would be ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in an organization that is focused on delivering regulatory excellence while also contributing to the health of Ontarians.

We are seeking an HR professional who is a strong team player with a creative and client-focused approach who can lead the College’s HR programs and help create a work environment where employees flourish.  Our ideal candidate is culturally sensitive and has a professional approach when dealing with colleagues and stakeholders.

Full-Time Position

This is a full-time position working from a home office until the College resumes on-site operations in the Toronto office. Duties include:

  • Working with the Director of Finance & Corporate Services and the Registrar & Executive Director to ensure that the College’s employee engagement programs are aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, values and strategy.
  • Leading all HR planning in consultation with the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, the Registrar & Executive Director and senior management team.
  • Leading the College's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Managing the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of high-quality personnel.
  • Recommending, creating, and administering HR policies, and benefits, in compliance with the Employment Standards Act.
  • Acting as a resource for staff who have human resource questions or concerns, and maintain privacy as appropriate.
  • Ensuring College compliance with all labour, employment and human rights legislation.

In addition to holding a recognized HR designation (CHRP/CHRL), you have at least five years’ experience as an HR generalist and possess good computer and strong interpersonal and communications skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of an active and engaged management team and is comfortable participating in strategy discussions and then displaying a “roll up your sleeves” attitude to get the job done!
