Publié le 31 August 2022

As a member of the College, registered dietitians must renew their certificate of registration each year in order to continue practicing as a dietitian in Ontario.

The deadline to renew your registration and submit your Self Directed Learning (SDL) Tool is 11:59 p.m. EST on October 31, 2022.

The annual registration renewal process includes:

  • Reviewing and updating your contact and employment information;
  • Answering the declaration questions; and
  • Paying your annual fee of $641.

All General Members must also complete an SDL Tool by October 31, 2022, unless at least one of the following applies:

  • You became a member of the College after August 29, 2022;
  • You have signed a voluntary undertaking with the Quality Assurance Program; or
  • You have received an exemption from the Quality Assurance Program.
Late Renewal Fee Increase
Effective 2022 renewal, the College’s Council has approved a cost-recovery increase to the late renewal fee, charging 20% of the annual fee. Unless you have been granted an extension, a late fee of $128 will be added to your annual membership fee if your renewal and payment are submitted or received by the College after 11:59 p.m. EST on October 31, 2022.

Late SDL Tool Fee
Unless you have been granted an extension or exemption, a late fee of $70 will be charged to your account if your SDL Tool is submitted or received by the College after 11:59 p.m. EST on October 31, 2022. This administration fee will be added to the late renewal fee of $128 if your annual renewal is also late.

PLEASE NOTE: The Quality Assurance Committee will automatically review all SDL Tools submitted late for adequacy of the content.

Extension Requests
The College will consider granting renewal and SDL Tool extensions, without a late fee, upon request. Extensions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please complete the extension request form, and College staff will follow up with you.
