Dietitians in Long-Term Care/Retirement Homes

Restrictions lifted for dietitians who are employed and fully immunized in long-term care and retirement homes allowing them to work in more than one setting.
The government has amended orders to exempt fully immunized long-term care home and retirement home employees from restrictions that prohibit them from working in more than one home, or in another heath care setting unless it is otherwise directed by a medical officer of health.
For the purposes of each order, a person is considered “fully immunized” against COVID-19 if:
(a) they have received the total required number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada; and
(b) they received their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days ago.
Directive 3 and the amended regulations are available to read here:

Questions about whether you can return to in-person work in more than one setting?

Dietitians who are employed or contracted in long term care/retirement homes should consult with their employers.
