As previously announced, the Alliance of Canadian Dietetic Regulatory Bodies, as the national group of dietetic regulatory bodies across Canada, has engaged a third-party psychometric expert to review the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE). The CDRE review is ongoing. We anticipate that the CDRE review will be completed by spring 2025.
As a first priority for review, the psychometrician was asked to review the May 2025 exam. No issues were raised as to the content of the exam and its review process. As such, there will be no adjustments to the upcoming CDRE content or schedule, and the exam will continue as planned in May 2025. We do not anticipate a delay in release of exam results.
Candidates writing the CDRE are advised to be fully prepared on the day of the exam and make full use of their resources, including reviewing the Alliance’s CDRE Preparation Guide.
The Alliance will determine any future actions related to the exam and the exam process on the expert recommendations of the third-party psychometrician once the review has concluded. We remain committed to ensuring the ongoing integrity of the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination and the public’s access to competent, safe and ethical dietetic services.
