CDO welcomes Susan Bodner as newly appointed director

The CDO Board of Directors is responsible for governing the College and regulating Ontario’s dietetic profession in the public interest.

CDO is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Bodner as a public member of the CDO Board of Directors by Order in Council.

Susan is an accomplished leader in the medical technology industry, with over 15 years of experience in areas such as cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, and wound care. She currently serves as General Manager at Enovis Canada, where she is dedicated to helping patients live active lives through bracing, supports, and recovery sciences.

Her career includes leadership roles at Smith+Nephew Canada, where she transformed the advanced wound division by streamlining processes and implementing digital solutions to enhance customer experience. Susan has also held senior positions at KCI Medical, leading Channel Marketing across the Americas and mentoring high-performing marketing teams in Canada and Latin America. She began her healthcare marketing journey at St. Jude Medical, where she led the cardiovascular division’s marketing strategy in Canada.

Susan also brings direct sales experience from her time at Panasonic Canada, where she was a two-time President’s Club Award winner. A lifelong learner, she earned her MBA in Digital Transformation from McMaster University during the pandemic.

“I’m honoured to join the CDO Board as a public member,” said Susan. “I’m passionate about improving access to care and advancing healthcare innovation, and I look forward to contributing to the Board’s important work protecting the public.”

The Board is responsible for governing the College and regulating Ontario’s dietetic profession in the public interest. It sets the College’s strategic direction, monitors its activities, and establishes by-laws, standards, and regulatory policies. The Board is composed of approximately 12 members – seven elected dietitians and five to eight members of the public appointed by the government.
