Dietitian from Another Province
This information is intended for individuals who are registered as a dietitian in a Canadian province or territory outside of Ontario.
Labour Mobility
In Canada, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement includes provisions to ensure that regulated professionals can easily move from one province to another without having to undergo further assessment of their education and training.
Based on the principle of “certificate-to-certificate recognition, and as cited in the Ontario Labour Mobility Act, 2009, if you are registered as a dietitian in another Canadian province when you apply for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, you are deemed eligible for registration.
At the time that you apply, you must be registered in good standing with another dietetic regulatory body in Canada, and your registration must not be in a restricted category, such as student, graduate, qualifying, honorary, retired, inactive, associate, or special (temporary registration is permitted).

Official Transcripts

This includes transcripts related to:
- Your nutrition/dietetics degree; and

Your current provincial regulatory body will forward all transcripts they have on file along with Labour Mobility Verification Form, however you are responsible to arrange for the College to receive any required transcripts that are not on file with the current regulatory body. Factors that may delay the processing of your application include:
- Failing to complete and sign all sections of the application form;
