Committee Appointees
Join a Committee with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
Serving on one of CDO’s committees is a rewarding experience and an opportunity to provide a meaningful contribution to regulating the Ontario dietetic profession in the public interest.
Committee appointees are both dietitians and members of the public with specific skills, knowledge and experience, who bring their insights and expertise to help develop policies for the delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality care. They also help make decisions about applicants and registrants in quality assurance, registration, and complaint processes.
The Committee Competency and Attribute Framework identifies the skills, knowledge, experiences and backgrounds needed by each committee to effectively serve its mandate.
Committee appointees are remunerated in accordance with the honoraria policy for preparing for and attending meetings. In addition to meeting the time commitments, committee appointees are required to attend training sessions as needed.
If you are interested in using your knowledge and skill in the interest of public protection, consider applying as a Committee Appointee.
