Patient Relations
Through its public education initiatives, the Patient Relations Program provides information and services to help Ontarians understand their rights as consumers of dietetic services. The program:
-
provides information about how the College works in the interest of the public for safe, competent and ethical dietetic services by dietitians.
-
maintains a Sexual Abuse Prevention Program.
-
maintains a system to provide funding for counselling and therapy for clients who were abused sexually by a dietitian.
- ensures staff is trained to handle complaints of sexual abuse in the event that a dietitian sexually abuses a client.
Note: This website provides current and updated information. Should there be a difference with documentation previously distributed to members, it is up to the members to source the latest version posted on the College website.
