2021: Ethics and Professionalism: Unconscious Bias
Workshop summary: By examining unconscious bias and engaging in dialogue, we can better identify, learn and share strategies to mitigate bias when practising dietetics. Our guest speaker, Dr. Javeed Sukhera, discussed ways to increase our knowledge, and confront our biases in our unique equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDI-B) journey. We highlighted scenarios using the PAUSE framework exploring mindfulness, how we feel and how to react when faced with bias.
